Pokémon TCG Release Calendar: What's Out Now and What's Next (Fall 2026)

· News

Glowing energy orbs over a twilight meadow

This is our running guide to the Pokémon TCG calendar for the rest of 2026: what just came out, what hits shelves next, and which sealed products are worth a look. Dates come from The Pokémon Company and set trackers as of September 30, 2026, last checked October 15, 2026. Release dates can shift, so we will update this list as they do.

Key dates at a glance

  • September 16 – 30th Celebration launched worldwide on the same day, a first for the Pokémon TCG.
  • October 2 – 30th Celebration Booster Bundle (six packs) and Mini Tins (two packs each), plus a new Mini Portfolio and the Enhanced 2-Pack Blister.
  • October 23 – Deck Crafter's Collection: a Meowth ex foil card, 39 tournament-ready Trainer cards, dividers, and one booster pack.
  • October 24 – Delta Reign prerelease events begin.
  • October 30 – 30th Celebration Battle Decks: Espeon ex and Umbreon ex.
  • November 6 – Mega Evolution—Delta Reign releases, plus the 30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collections (Day and Night) the Ditto Premium Collection, and the Figure Collections (Mew and Mewtwo).
  • December 4 – 30th Celebration Binder Collection.

30th Celebration: the anniversary set

The Pokémon TCG first released in Japan in October 1996, and 30th Celebration marks 30 years with more than 150 cards. A few things make it different from a normal expansion:

  • Every card is foil. Packs hold six cards: five foils plus one foil Basic Energy.
  • Every pack guarantees one of 30 uniquely numbered Pikachu cards, each drawn by a different artist.
  • A 30-card Classic Collection reprints iconic cards from the past three decades. The Ultra-Premium Collections include a dedicated Classic Collection pack.

The standard Elite Trainer Box includes nine booster packs, a full-art Nidorina promo, 65 sleeves, and 16 foil Basic Energy cards. The Pokémon Center version includes 11 packs and two Nidorina promos.

Delta Reign: the next main set (November 6)

Delta Reign is the sixth main expansion of the Mega Evolution era. Mega Rayquaza ex is the headline card, with Mega Golurk ex, Mega Malamar ex, and Mega Golisopod ex also confirmed. Its Japanese counterpart came out July 31, so the card list is already well known. Prereleases start October 24, and Elite Trainer Boxes and Build & Battle Boxes launch with the set.

Pitch Black: still the newest main set on shelves

Mega Evolution—Pitch Black released July 17. It has more than 115 cards, including more than 35 special illustration cards. Mega Darkrai ex is the chase card, alongside Mega Zeraora ex, Mega Chandelure ex, and Mega Excadrill ex.

Earlier 2026 sets worth a second look

Perfect Order (March 27) and Chaos Rising (May 22) are the third and fourth Mega Evolution expansions. With the big fall releases pulling attention away, now is a good time to fill binder gaps from these sets.
